Even tougher than yesterday. My feet were killing me all day. Sitting at Irma Deusa's house, she made us some fried chicken, rice, and orange soda for dinner, I caught a glimpse of myself in he mirror-- and I'm DARK. Stunningly dark. Two days of sun, and I'm already looking more and more like a local (except for this mop of blonde hair on my head...and my blue eyes. Oh, yeah, and the fact that I don't speak a lick of this latin-based language! This definitely IS NOT what I was taught at the CTM!).
We had to walk a ton today. Loved every minute of it--not saying I LIKED every minute of it, as the pain shooting up my legs from my feet is nearly unbearable at times, but I LOVED it. Big difference.
This missionary work is very strange--It's hard work, but it's awesome already. I just need to build up my endurance and patience. Happy days, though--we're having two baptisms tomorrow. Bruno and Valdez. Can't wait!
Can't wait to speak fluently either. I've just got to keep trying.
